Yangtse Automotive Group Co., Ltd. has a rich heritage dating back to 1929, making it one of China's long-established automotive brands. The company's origins lie in the Wuhan Public Vehicle Management and Repair Institute, which later became the Wuhan Public Vehicle Repair Factory in 1950 and Wuhan Automobile Factory in 1964. In 2004, the company reorganized as Dongfeng Yangtse Automobile (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., focusing on the research, development, production and sales of city buses.
In 2016, the business evolved into Yangtse Automotive Group Co., Ltd. Under a strategic vision to lead in new energy solutions, special-purpose vehicles, construction machinery, photovoltaic systems, energy storage and charging infrastructure, Yangtse underwent a corporate reorganization and brand update in 2023, emerging as Yangtse Automotive Group Co., Ltd. and marking a new era of integrated energy and mobility solutions.
